A Bright Future

Years ago, a baby girl named Judy was born to a single mother in Zimbabwe. Overwhelmed by fear and lacking the resources to care for her, Judy’s mother abandoned her shortly after birth. Alone and vulnerable, Judy’s future seemed uncertain. But God had a different plan for her life.

Judy was taken to a hospital that operated a special ward for abandoned infants. She remained there for eleven long months, waiting for someone to give her a chance. Finally, the Queen Elizabeth Children’s Home (QUEACH) learned of her situation and welcomed her with open arms. They provided the love, care, and education she desperately needed, introducing her to the God who had never forgotten her.

Around the same time, on the outskirts of another bustling Zimbabwean city, a baby boy named Peter entered the world. His mother also faced difficult circumstances and entrusted him to government care. For three years, Peter waited for a family and a place to belong. Then God answered that need as well, leading him to QUEACH.

Today, both Judy and Peter have grown into remarkable young leaders. The children who once faced abandonment are now thriving teenagers with bright futures ahead of them. In fact, just last week, these two young people preached at three local churches near QUEACH, inspiring congregations with their faith, leadership, and testimony.
